Joslyn Rose Lyons has created a unique body of work for over a decade in film and television. In her creative treatment for the video campaign "Beautiful", Joslyn directed an in-studio acoustic performance with RCA recording artist Mali Music and women such as "The Game"'s Wendy Raquel Robinson, "Being Mary Jane's" Brely Evans, and casting director Robi Reed, were enlisted to represent such a positive message, as noted in Rolling Stone Magazine, the video defined 'What it means to be beautiful'.
Her first documentary feature "Soundz of Spirit" (Common, Saul Williams, Cee-Lo) explored the creative process and spiritual connection in Hip Hop and was awarded Best Music Documentary at the New York International Film Festival. She was given a directors seat at Simmons Lathan Media Group where she directed the HBO Def Poetry pilot series for new media platforms. While her passion for music has led her to produce content for BET, Vh1, Yahoo! Music, and Centric, she also has an extensive portfolio as a music video director for artists including Talib Kweli, Hieroglyphics, Quadron, Too $hort, E-40, Mali Music and Chad Hugo (N.E.R.D./Neptunes).
Joslyn was a lead field producer on the Music Matters Grammy Showcase at the Creative Artists Agency (CAA). She has contributed to documentaries for BET, PBS and OWN. She is a content creator and curator for the multi-faceted Museum of Light, a platform that explores the Alchemy of the Artists' Journey that has featured LINES Ballet, "Hamilton's" Daveed Diggs, and Grammy Award Winning musician Robert Glasper,
